Town of Crewe
Hagberg Park provides recreation opportunities that are open to the general public. The park consists of three parts that provide citizens with various recreation and education opportunities. The facilities include volleyball court, a fitness trail, gazebo, picnic tables, barbeque pits, and a railroad museum.
Hooper Park, located west of the Town of Crewe, is owned and operated by Southside Electric Cooperative 434-645-7721. A covered pavilion with stage, picnic tables, and restroom facilities are located within the park. The park is available to groups strictly on a rental basis.
Crewe has 4 ball fields within Town limits:
Beamer Field – public (Dixie Youth League)
Hackney Field – public (Dixie Youth League)
Railroaders Field - public (Dixie Youth League)
Golubic Stadium – public (Dixie Majors League)
The Nottoway County Co-ed Adult Volleyball League is a great way to have fun with your friends and neighbors. Adults of all skill levels are invited to join!
While nestled between two major highways, the Town of Crewe boasts excellent walk-ability. Go on a solo jog through the countryside or join one of the town’s walking groups. Contact the town office for more information.
The Crewe Country Club, members-only club, offering a nine-hole golf course, swimming pool and a clubhouse facility. Membership requires the purchase of stock and yearly dues.
The Town of Crewe is a proud supporter of the Crewe-Burkeville and Nottoway Youth Recreation Associations, which provide a broad range of recreation opportunities for residents from age three on up to adults. Programs include softball, baseball, T-ball, soccer, basketball, and football.
